Other Testimonials:
"I rode with and without the vest and was amazed at the difference
even with the full windshield on my Suzuki Intruder 1500LC. It blocked the
wind coming around the gas tanks and stopped my double chin from flapping in
the breeze. Also it took the wind off my glasses and the skull cap I was
wearing"
Adrian - Dundee, Oregon
"The vest actually works. There is substantially less wind around
the collar and neck area. There is apparently not much wind generated below
45 mph, as the flaps would not "inflate" until above 45. Around
town I don't think they would be much help, however on the road,
particularly long trips where the air becomes irritating after awhile, I
will use your vest."

"I really enjoy the vest. You were right about being able to smoke a
cigarette while riding. I would diffidently recommend this to any biker who
is tired of the wind in his/her face. A product that is an improvement to
riding."

"Jack, I acquired a AeroVest recently at the Ruidoso Aspen rally. I
rode back to Boulder, CO. wearing my AeroVest much of the way (except early
in the AM when I had my coat on). I ride a BMW 1200C (Cruiser) which has a
small windshield. What you told me about the AeroVest is very
accurate! My largest gripe about my cruiser is the wind that buffets me and
my helmet when I am driving more than 60 mph. Even though I wear ear plugs,
the noise from the wind roars. It is especially bad when the wind is blowing
slightly from the side. I noticed a large reduction in buffeting and wind
noise when I was wearing the AeroVest! I could tell the difference when I
deliberately held the flaps down with my hand. Then the noise became
approximately 2 times louder without the flaps extended. I performed some
experiments and found that the noise level at 70 mph was reduced by the
flaps to a level that I had at 50 mph without the AeroVest. Thank you
for introducing me to the AeroVest. I think that I have found 2 new
customers for you so far"

"Hi, I met you at the BBB rally in Fayetteville, AR. I tried
the vest out and it works great. It blocks virtually all wind from my
face. It makes it much easier to talk to your passenger. I wear a half
helmet which tends to vibrate when I reach speeds over 50-60 mph. This
will significantly reduce the vibration caused by the wind hitting the
visor of the helmet. The only suggestion I would have is that you
might somehow make the flaps detachable. That way you could detach
them and maybe store them in the inside pocket when your not riding.
Just a thought. Anyway, I think you have a great product. Good
Luck."
Tommy Duncan - Fayetteville, AR
"I was amazed how well the vest works with my FXR4 that has a
windshield! Not only did it cut the wind coming up from below, it kept my
neck and chest warmer in the cold weather. Additionally I wear a full face
helmet and it stopped the noise coming up from my neck into my helmet
providing a much quieter ride. All in all, I think the vest is a great
invention!"
Lesli Collins - Biggs Chapter, North San Diego County
"Jack's vests are heavy, high quality, lined leather vests for
which you could expect to pay his asking price even if it didn't have
the aerodynamic features. The vest functions as Jack claims and I am
proud to wear his product. My old vest has so many pins and patches that I
needed a new one to put my new Christian Motorcyclist Association patch
on. It appears to me that most riders these days prefer form over
function. It is a happy occasion when you can find a vest that provides
both style and wind abatement at the same time! I highly recommend the
Haltermans as fine representatives of the motorcycling community and wish
them total success with their unique vests"

"That vest you gave me in Clinton Arkansas works Great I rode all
the way to Fayetteville to the Bikes Blues and Barbq Rally The wind went
right over my head just like you told me my eye glasses didn't vibrate at
all at speeds up to 80 miles per hour. Thanks for letting me test your
vest and good luck on your future success with your AeroVest I would
recommend it to everyone who has a windshield on their bike and when the
vest you gave me wears out I will surely buy another one."
George Simpson - Shirley, Arkansas
"To my surprise it does just what you said it would my wife no
longer has to hold my hat on for me. The flaps block off all the wind the
windshield misses and I am very pleased with the over all performance of
this vest. I wish you all the luck in making this thing a go. you deserve
it."
Mark - Perrin, Texas
"Both the wife and I have bikes with
windscreens-2001 FXDWG and 2002 883 Custom. After trying JacksFlaps for
the past two weeks and around 600 miles, we are sold. We both wear helmets
and noticed an immediate improvement around 40 mph. The flaps come up and
the wind that comes up under the windscreen dies down. We really noticed
it going over the Guadalupe Mountains in Texas. A perpetual wind tunnel
that constantly tries to rip my helmet off and rattle my glasses. With the
flaps, my glasses and helmet felt solid. The wife does have a question
about color. She prefers a natural buffalo hide color, tan. Are
there plans to offer different colors and styles?"
